Small-scale UK energy from waste involves generating electricity that is cleaner and less carbon-intensive than electricity produced by burning fossil fuels. Although this kind of electricity generation involves burning solid waste, the process is carefully managed in order to ensure that environmental pollution is kept to a minimum.
